Gallic acid is a well-known natural antioxidant
Gallic acid is a well-known natural antioxidant that is basically a secondary polyphenolic metabolite. Gallic acid is a very important common antioxidant tea formulation, known as an Ayurvedic herb. Apart from its phytochemical role, gallic acid is also used in tanning, ink dyes, and the manufacture of paper.
GALLIC ACID 99.5% Gallic acid is a very important common antioxidant tea formulation, known as an Ayurvedic herb.
Gallic acid is a naturally occurring polyphenolic compound found in processed open arms of EPM at doses of 30 and 300 mg/kg.
Gallic acid and its congeners are commonly present in variety of fruits and number of plants. In addition to its natural origin, large number of synthesized gallic acid derivatives are also available.
Gallic acid is only slightly soluble in water, with approximately 1 gram dissolving in 87 ml. Its solubility increases with temperature, and it is more soluble in organic solvents like methanol, ethanol, and acetone.
1 G DISSOLVES IN: 87 ML WATER, 3 ML BOILING WATER, 6 ML ALCOHOL, 100 ML ETHER, 10 ML GLYCEROL, 5 ML ACETONE; PRACTICALLY INSOL IN BENZENE, CHLOROFORM, PETROLEUM ETHER.
